TrendMicro Review
With the sheer number of cyber-threats currently infesting the net, it has become increasingly difficult for families to protect themselves from malware that could infest their computers and steal vital personal information that could be used by crooks in identity theft scams. Children are particularly vulnerable to phising sites that invite them to enter personal information in exchange for free downloads. TrendMicro Internet Security anti-malware software will not only protect you against viruses and spyware, it also comes equipped with a whole range of security features that ensure a safer browsing experience.
TrendMicro Internet Security not only provides your computer with a personal firewall that will protect you from hacker attacks, it also prevents unauthorized changes in your operating system that could allow hackers to penetrate your computer. The application also warns you against potentially risky sites, blocks image spam from evading your filters and prevents suspicious software from opening. As a special plus, the software provides you with the option to exercise stricter parental controls over your children’s browsing habits, in order to protect them from inappropriate and dangerous sites.
If you’re interested in trying TrendMicro Internet Security, a 30-day free trial is currently available on their site that will also entitle you to a 20% discount on the purchase price if you decide to buy the software after the trial period.

it’s actually a pretty good program
I have used it b4 and been a beta tester, but I turned in my hat when they would not remove the module that allows the program to block you from visiting web sites that it thinks should be restricted or are deemed malicious……..
It actually blocked sites I sometimes visit that didn’t meet any of the criteria..and to reach them you have to manually enter each site into an allowed list.
Plus, like Norton and McAfee, it’s a little bit of a resource hog.
Try it yourself and decide……..

I tried there free on line scan, and the one or two times it worked right, I thought it was good. The other eight or nine times it was very unstable, and buggy. Trend micro are a bunch of resource hungry fear mongers. Go with Avg.

Trend Micro is pretty good but, ESET (aka NOD32) and Kaspersky are better.

I highly recommend it and I work specifically as a desktop support technician and have for 4 years… Also Microsoft Certified Professional in Windows XP.

If you are using PC-Cillin, running Trend-Micro will ensure your files are up to date with the latest version.
I run it at least once a week.
